The new consortium will fund a blueberry breeding programme which will deliver new and improved blueberry varieties, suited to European growing conditions and carrying traits desirable to growers, retailers and consumers.

Glen Mor, Lewis and Skye were all released as named varieties in 2020 and Glen Carron was named and released in 2018.  Here are the tabulated results of trials for these and some other raspberry varieties at the James Hutton Institute in 2020.
