The James Hutton Limited team welcomed Ross Urquhart to the role of Project Associate in early June. Ross will be working alongside Project Manager, David Somerville, in the Project Management Office, supporting David with the administration, management and delivery of commercial projects.

Ross joined the business from a role at Home Energy Scotland where latterly, he was responsible for the delivery of the Scottish Government Home Care pilot scheme in the Moray area of Scotland, which aimed to help vulnerable householders improve efficiencies in their homes in order to reduce energy bills and increase comfort.

Ross gained a degree in Environmental Science, Politics and Policy from the Open University in 2014, which will stand him in good stead to get to grips with some of the projects managed by James Hutton Limited.  Since joining the business, Ross has enjoyed getting to know key scientists and commercial partners from current projects and is looking forward to meeting more while supporting David in managing and expanding the commercial project portfolio.
