Jamie Smith is approaching 5 years working at James Hutton Limited as its Agri-Business Development Manager. Jamie seeks to take advancement across all areas of research and development and translate that to direct industry application.

Like all businesses, the analytical laboratories of James Hutton Limited have felt the brunt of the COVID crisis, but the commercial subsidiary of Scotland’s, James Hutton Institute, remains open for business offering a range of techniques for sediment and water, suitable for identifying extremely low level, trace quantities of contaminant, including emamectin benzoate in sediment.

GILLIAN CARUSO - ADMIN ASSISTANT

Gillian Caruso started working with James Hutton Limited (formerly Mylnefield Research Services Limited) as temporary staff cover in 2013, 11 months later Gillian became a permanent member of staff and for the last 7 years has been working with Lesley Beaton, Licensing Manager, dealing with licence administration, plant variety protection and the collection of royalty income from the sale of licenced varieties.
