JHL Dundee is on the East coast of Scotland midway between Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

It is located on the James Hutton Institute campus at Invergowrie 6km West of the centre of Dundee. Access is via the A90, Main Street and Errol Road.

Intercity rail services are available between Dundee and London, Edinburgh and Glasgow and other UK cities.

Flights are available to Dundee Airport from London City, Belfast and Birmingham. Scheduled services operate from many international destinations to Edinburgh and Glasgow, both of which lie within easy reach of Dundee.

By road
From Dundee: Leave the city in a westerly direction along Riverside Drive and Riverside Avenue, towards Perth (A85) continuing to its end. At the roundabout junction with the A90 turn west towards Perth immediately taking the slip road signposted for Invergowrie on your left. Follow the signs to the left for Invergowrie at the next roundabout before taking the first right into Errol Road which is signposted for the James Hutton Institute. Follow the road round a sharp right hand bend. The entrance to the James Hutton Institute is marked with a sign at the foot of the drive on your right.

From Aberdeen: Take the A90 south to Dundee, following the Kingsway around the city in the direction of Perth to the roundabout junction with the A85 Riverside Avenue (signposted for the city centre). At the roundabout continue straight ahead towards Perth immediately taking the slip road signposted for Invergowrie on your left. Follow the signs to the left for Invergowrie at the next roundabout before taking the first right into Errol Road which is signposted for the James Hutton Institute. Follow the road round a sharp right hand bend. The entrance to the James Hutton Institute is marked with a sign at the foot of the drive on your right.

From Perth: Take the A90 in an easterly direction to Dundee to the roundabout junction with the A85 Riverside Avenue (signposted for the city centre). Go right round the roundabout back towards Perth immediately taking the slip road signposted for Invergowrie on your left. Follow the signs to the left for Invergowrie at the next roundabout before taking the first right into Errol Road which is signposted for the James Hutton Institute. Follow the road round a sharp right hand bend. The entrance to the James Hutton Institute is marked with a sign at the foot of the drive on your right.

By bus

By road
From Aberdeen:
Leave the city centre in a westerly direction on Union Street and at the traffic lights bear left on to Holburn Street (signposted A9013 for Braemar, Dundee, Perth). At the next traffic lights turn right on to Great Western Road (A93 Braemar) and continue until the traffic lights junction with the A90 (South Anderson Drive). Turn right on to South Anderson Drive and at the next roundabout turn left into Seafield Road. Continue to the traffic lights and go straight ahead on to Countesswells Road. Take the second on the right into Macaulay Drive, where the James Hutton Institute is signposted.

From Inverness: Take the A96 towards Aberdeen. Continue following signs for A96 Aberdeen until reaching the Haudagain roundabout and take the third exit for the A90 signposted Braemar, Dundee and Perth (North Anderson Drive). Continue on the A90 until reaching the roundabout junction with Cromwell Road and Seafield Road. Turn right into Seafield Road. Continue to the traffic lights and go straight ahead on to Countesswells Road. Take the second on the right into Macaulay Drive, where the James Hutton Institute is signposted.

From Dundee: Take the A90 north to Aberdeen. At the Bridge of Dee roundabout take the second exit signposted A90 for Peterhead and Fraserburgh (South Anderson Drive) and continue on the A90 until reaching the roundabout junction with Seafield Road and Cromwell Road. Turn left into Seafield Road. Continue to the traffic lights and go straight ahead on to Countesswells Road. Take the second on the right into Macaulay Drive, where the James Hutton Institute is signposted.

By bus
